Do you know what's great about tiny landscape paintings? They allow you a moment of escape. Jardin I ('jardin' means 'garden' in French) isn't like any other garden you've seen. Probably. Its almost otherworldly glowing magenta, pink polka dots, and meandering brushstrokes are whimsical, playful, and fun. I painted this because I want a garden like this to exist. And to be quite honest, this one will be hard to part ways with.
Jardin I is one of my favorite landscapes. It's based off of a public garden in France - and, filled with thick brushstrokes and a palette of greens, purples, and pinks - it brings joy and energy to any space.
This original painting is acrylic on primed paper, it has rag (torn) edges, and is sold unframed.
Tiny landscapes will look wonderful in a thick white mat and a thin understated frame. While all of these paintings come unframed, I have shared an example of what it would look like framed - in the example I used a standard white frame (9x12) with a 5x7 mat opening, this particular frame is from Dick Blick.

Framing suggestions:
This painting is sold unframed - but would look wonderful with a thick mat and a thin frame - the examples I've included in my photos of this painting show it mounted in a simple 9x12 inch frame with a 5x7 inch opening in the mat. This painting is sold without a frame, so you can decide what will look best with your style and home!
